Personally I found this to be very well done. The subtitles are always moderately annoying, especially with Hitchcock's important visual queues and whatnot, although they are not as prevalent in this work. But I really enjoyed the story and thought it was very well done. Definitely worth seeing.

I found one comment on it utter rubbish as the person writing it didn't seem to appreciate it's role. I enjoyed it, good performances and, yes, definitely worth a look.

I think that you are referring to the same comment I took as uninformed. Unfortunately, in war there are very rarely true winners... the families of those lost in service of the victorious side probably don't consider their loss a 'win'.
