I would love to see John Houston original 5 reel version that was deemed to anti-war and cut...does anyone know anything aobut this footage?

It's a shame that the powers that be decided that showing war raw and uncut was considered anti-war. Talk about duh.

Hopefully the full thing will be restored one day.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

Even as it exists, it a powerful piece of film. One of the greatest war films ever, by any standards, even if it's a "short".
