public service announcement?

We watched the beginning of "blonde trouble" the other night on TMC and there was a public service type of short before the movie itself started. Andy had wrecked his car and wanted $200 from his father to pay for a new one. They drove a succession of cars around to look at charities and children's hospitals until Andy had volunteered away all of his car allowance. Was this type of short common with the Andy Hardy series? Would they be available on DVD? I'd appreciate it if anyone could let me know. Thanks.
