Jean Porter

Jean Porter really makes this movie work. She is so cute with a talent for comic relief, and that southern belle manner, that it seems to me the film revolves around her in many ways.

Too bad she didn't have a bigger career, but that makes this film a rare gem by any account.

It's a funny look at early bobby-socksers — bears comparisons to "The World of Henry Orient" 20 years later.
