does the Pentatgon get TCM?

"The occupation of any country is only possible because we are corrupt." - Albert Lorey (This Land Is Mine)

collaboration with invading forces is the corruption Lorey's character references after making this statement during his trial. i find it interesting that the United States' occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan is conveyed in this statement as well. the timelessness of the messages regarding human rights and freedoms expressed in this film deserve reviewing by our government and military leaders. does the Pentatgon get TCM?

Doubtful but they should! I just viewed this film for the first time and found many wonderful qualities about it but sad to say, in my 51 years that I do not recognize the Articles that were being taught to the schoolchildren at the end of the movie, do you know where I can find a copy of those. I believe it is supposed to be obvious but it eludes me, I would like to read them further. Thanks in advance!

The book that Laughton begins reading to his students at the end of the movie is "The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen" (French: Déclaration des droits de l'Homme et du Citoyen), a fundamental document of the French Revolution.
