WB is rescuing this film from public domain hell!

Warner Home Video will be releasing this film, along with a couple of other patriotic wartime entertainments (THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS and HOLLYWOOD CANTEEN), later this year ('08). THIS IS THE ARMY has been in the public domain for decades, which accounts for the plethora of crummy prints out there, but now the original studio will be issuing a presumably pristine, quality version onto DVD. Hang in there.
