shareAbsolutely not. They all spent time living in the US at some point in their lives and were picked because their English had no accents to give them away. The problem was they were third rate spies and saboteurs despite some training for this mission. The leader, George Dasch, had second thoughts and turned himself and the others in. Six were executed in the chair and are buried on the south side of DC near a treatment plant along the Anacostia River. Neither sub was strafed.
