'Chris, this is your father....Chris, this is your son'


Now that was just a truly heartbreaking moment when she found out her husband died and she woke the baby up to introduce him to the picture of his father and she told them 'you won't ever get to know each other, except through me'. That was great acting, Ginger Rogers pulled that off magnificently, there'd never be anybody today who could deliver a performance like that and do it the justice she did.

Love Ginger as a comedienne--she's brilliant--but most of her attempts at drama fall short and/or are over-baked. That endless scene was cringe-inducing. Let's not even talk about the distracting hair and makeup.
