For fans of Ginger's legs...

There's a terrific flashback scene in this film in which Ginger shows off her gorgeous gams in a scene with a hammock. WOW!

I also love when Ginger says "silly goose" as they're trying to figure out if they need a housekeeper.

Count me as one of them.
She really deserved more credit than she usually gets.
She was much more than a dancer.
Thanks for your comment.

This was on in the background, on TCM this morning, and I glanced up and holy moly! Scene with a clothesline, she's drying her hair with a towel, Robert Ryan proposes...and though she's yammering on in a strident voice, she looked SO beautiful. SO beautiful, like from another world. Which I suppose it was.

It's nice to see Ginger is finding new fans! She certainly had a beautiful and lean figure. She's a great actress too!

To a new world of gods and monsters!

Holy cow, yes! She's sitting on a chair in the backyard drying her hair in a polka dot crop top and very short skirt. Yowza! If I remember the credits correctly we can thank the great Edith Head for that outfit!

reply

Yep, it was Edith Head. All of Ginger Rogers' clothes were gorgeous and made her look like a million bucks.

And those legs...yowza indeed! Unbelievable.

The above mentioned flashback scene in Tender Comrade with Ginger brushing her hair never fails to blow my mind. She is positively the most jaw dropping, heart-stopping, drop dead stunning, amazingly beautiful woman ever put on film! Beyond piping hot! Her outfit of short shorts and midriff top and strappy high heeled shoes...on the most perfect body imaginable. On top of that even her hair is sexy! I love Ginger and respect her as an actress and a show business legend....and she was, as the song goes, "lovely to look at"! There is no actress today who could ever compare to that.
