Dooley Wilson (Gabe) makes reference to drinking champagne in Paris. He (as Sam) is trying to finish off the champagne in Paris with Rick & Ilsa.

Yes I think so, since Casablanca (Rick & Illsa) was made in 1942.

Yes. Dooley Wilson played Sam in Casablanca.

Dooley Wilson was supposed to play Little Joe in Cabin in the Sky. If he had he wouldn't have been in Casablanca. His most famous role as Sam.

Interesting.... I missed that completely. Yes that may very well be the case.
