The Digiview DVD release is fairly good.

I recently picked up the Digiview DVD release of the film. I haven't watched it all the way through yet, but the print seems to be in very good condition and it's the complete 132 minute version. If you can find it, it's definitely a good buy, and in most stores, you'll only pay $1 for it.

I'll ditto your message. I found my $1.00 copy recently at the Peach St. Walmart in Erie Pa. I don't know if every Walmart in the country would carry this DVD but I'd bet that all in the Erie region of the Walmart chain would have it... I'll add that Peggy Lee's rendition of her biggest hit she sings while she was singing with the Benny Goodman orch., "Why don't you do right like some other men do?" was worth to me 10 times at least as the cost of the DVD.

They are selling this movie for 50-cents at Dollar Tree. I'm surprised at the print or duplication quality of some of the Digiview releases....

I purchased my copy last year because I love warttime movies and I guess my favorite is the Fighting Sullivans but Stage Door Canteen is a treasure and I so glad I stumbled across this great little film, I got my copies from The Dollar Tree my first copy was a dollar my second was 50 cents just the other day when I realized the copy I purchased was broken so just about 4 days ago I got my new copy I think there was just one I searched from 20 minutes for it so glad I found it. Thanks Digiview for this great little gem.

I'll ditto all your messages. I paid almost nothing for the DVD, and it was delightful.

This movie is public domain which is why it can be found so cheapily on DVD, the good news as you noted is that the Digiview edition is a really terrific print unlike most p.d. titles which can be quite mediocre print quality due to being made from worn prints and no access to original negatives.
