This is an expertly crafted film. A well chosen cast really delivers, the filming is lovely, the musical score is beautiful, the sets and location shots are perfect. Jones was at the height of her ethereal beauty.

shareI agree and I think the fact that it was made during WWII gave the artists additional inspiration to do their best. France and most of Western Europe were under Nazi occupation, D-Day was still a year away, and the people needed films like this to inspire them to victory.
