Did Dracula not notice the pool of water next to his burning coffin?

Seems like an immortal who had been around for centuries could have figured out a way to somehow use that water to put out the fire consuming his coffin.

More girls! More wine!

Wasn't it mud? I thought it was swamp water. But yes, he could've used it I suppose. But Frank could've stopped him and maybe he couldn't get past the fire to get to the water?

"Of course it's me, who were you expecting?"

reply

Yes, but vampires also fear water. The water might be stagnant (and therefore not so dangerous for a vampire), but he might be too panicked to think of it.

It was a odd place to hid his casket . If He did not die and a
decade later go back to it and see it floating on the surface in
pieces after the water rotted the casket and his Homeland Earth fell
to the bottom of the pond .
