Thanks for posting. Great article. It's nothing short of amazing and humbling when you stop and consider the sacrifices these P.O.W. nurses made.

Yes, indeed, the sacrifices these POWs made did not end when they were liberated. Lt. Mildred Dalton returned from the Philippines with no teeth, do to poor nutrition. My mother was too young for service, only 16 when this movie came out, but she loved it and said it influenced her in her decision to become a nurse. God bless her, she'll be gone soon. She is my angel.
