The second suspect

"He was cut to pieces. They had to identify him by his clothes. His shirts were all initialled - C O'H"

Do these initials have any particular significance? Could they provide a clue to why the police called off the investigation after the second suspect's death at the airport?

I suspected this might be the case. Although I somehow got the impression that the two detectives didn't really want to believe Uncle Charlie was the murderer anyway, so any chance to pin it on the other guy (who perhaps had a criminal record anyway) would be welcome.

Charlotte O'Hara did it. : )

Seriously, no. They don't provide a clue. The guy running into the prop could have had someone else's clothes. I also wondered why they made such a point of that.

I think there was something about the initials C.O.Charles Oakley, and the other guy being C.O'H
