I have heard all Webb's Lewton scores, and this has to be the best. The way the RKO "V" signal segues into the Beethovenesque fanfare - it sold me on the movie immediately.
shareI noticed that too. One might say that The Godfather II music was partly copied from The Seventh Victim. Of course, it's just a few notes. A small section of Godfather's Immigrant theme is identical to the melody that was repeated a few times in The Seventh Victim. I'm not sure if such a short tune would classify as plagiarism. But it's an interesting similarity, anyway.
