Satanism portrayed in the 40s

The theft of Jackies business, brainwashing, and advocating suicide gave an impression of how evil satanism can be. In the 60s Rosemarys Baby was very effective in demonstrating Satan worship. How many other movies were as effective in demonstrating devil worship?

I don't think The Seventh Victim was very effective in demonstrating devil worship. The movie just showed too little of it. One can only vaguely guess that the satanic cult had brainwashed the sister to give away her business and become suicidal. They should have showed more of the inner workings of the satanic cult. With so little of it shown in the movie, the cult looks mostly ridiculous rather than scary.

Any movie about pagans. For instance Sign Of The Cross (1932) (see my review).
