Airplane propeller shot from Casablanca?

I just watched this movie. The shot of the airplane propeller before the airplane takes off looked just like the shot in Casablanca. Can anybody confirm this?

Thank you,

Good catch!! They are the same! I had to freeze it and compare to see.

"Casablanca" at the 2:47 mark here:

"Princess O'Rourke" at the 0:47 mark here:

The subsequent shots back out a bit and the planes are different. The plane in "Casablanca" is a Lockheed Model 12 Electra Junior (or a small-scale model thereof), with its distinct tailplane. The plane in "Princess O'Rourke" is a DC-3 (I think). "Casablanca" predates "Princess O'Rourke" by a year, so they just re-used a bit of the footage.

Hmmm, maybe I've spent too much time watching these. ;-)

Thank you very much for the confirmation and the additional information. That was my first time seeing "Princess O'Rourke", but I have seen Casablanca many, many, many times. I was "pretty sure" but I really appreciate the confirmation!

Thanks bunches!

I have since learned that Warner Bros often recycled scenes from other movies to save money.

Not too surprising, since all of the studios had stables of "stock" players to fill such roles. Marcel Dalio, Emil the croupier from "Casablanca", and Dan Seymour, Abdul the door guard, show up in lots of other productions as well.
