Does Annie Ross have a significant part in this film?

Well yes in answer to your question she does have a significant part. She plays Judy's sister and she does sing a little. She introduces Judy as Lady Macbeth when she is auditioning for John Thornway (Van Heflin) and she sings

"You've heard of Sarah Bernhardt,
She really was a dilly.
But Sarah Bernhardt couldn't compare,
To the gal that's known as Lily

Then she sings about another famous actress but i can't remember who she says

Then she plays the piano for Lily while she acts out her part.

Presenting Lily Mars is probably my favourite Judy film and i would really reccommend it.
