Just enjoyed this pot boiler on TCM yesterday.

The final scenes where Kit is insulted and wrongly accused by her best friend, dropped by her fiance, rescues Diedre and sets her straight, a long list of not getting what she wanted but behaving with nobility and class. She plops into her cab:

It's late, and I'm very, very tired of youth and love and self-sacrifice!
