weblink for 'A Life Of Hope'

I recently wrote a book about my mothers memoirs. Very similar, if not, more accurate and authentic, to THE NORTH STAR. If made into a film it would be superior and shed a better light for all aspects surrounding the time.

I thought this movie was a very good depiction of what life was probably like for the people of a typical Soviet town prior to and after the start of the war with Germany; or, rather, the unprovoked attack by the Germans.

I have no doubt your mother's memoirs of life during that time are interesting and worth sharing. I'm glad she survived through the war and was able, hopefully, to find peace throughout her life.

What I don't understand is why you felt the need to compare her perspective with others. There are many perspectives and, while they may be different, they are all valid and have merit.

What's important is that we never forget the atrocities of the past so we can prevent their recurrence in the future. Whether the stories are fact, like your mother's memoirs, or fiction, like this movie, they serve basically the same purpose.
