Favorite line or scene, just to get something going?

Great film not very well known, but in my opinon Will Hay's greatest.

If i had to pick a favorite line it would have to be the one in the opening court room scene where Hay's excuse for saying he has 3 little tots is that he has 3 tots of rum at the goat and compasses every night!

Classic.

I like the end bit, against the dial of Big Ben. Every time the TV shows that awful third version of The 39 Steps, where Hannay is made to hang from one of the hands of Big ben, in order to prevent an explosion, I remember that Will Hay did it so much better and got some laughs into the bargain.

I agree, this film is a classic and needs more recognition!

I second that!

As Grimshaw falls down the whole in the floor, Will Hay turns round and goes 'Where's he gone?' and the butler replies with a smirk ' Australia….as the crow flies'

Yes it's a superior comedy and I have to agree with some of the commentators on here who say it's probably Will's best.
Hard to believe that two of the legendary comics Stan Laurel and Will Hay were born about 100miles apart.

Just saw it again. If only his health had been better.
