hello briny marlin

I love this movie and ever since seeing it my heap of coke and I use the slang just about every chance we get.

So, do you use it? What is your favorite phrase? Have you made up any of your own? What other movies have you noticed a similar slang used?

I noticed in ocean's eleven,
Basher: So unless we intend to do this job in Reno, we're in barney.
[everyone pauses]
Basher: Barney Rubble.
[they look bewildered]
Basher: Trouble!

Please, share!!!

Less than a week after posting the original message i read this article http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090825/ap_on_fe_st/eu_odd_britain_rhyming_slang

basically some ATMs in london (for a few months) are now offering the prompts in English or Cockney, the same cockney slang used in the movie!

It's all over the place in Lock Stock & two Smoking Barrels.

It's also in Snatch, which makes sense... same director.

"Whenever Mrs. Kissell breaks wind, we beat the dog."

It's used in To Sir With Love.

Hey rosetatju11...I just saw the movie on TCM. I don't remember right now seeing/hearing the slang in another movie but I do remember it in one of the 2-part "Love Boat" episodes. They sailed to Australia and someone was using it a lot. It made me think of this movie.
