Hogan's Heroes Music

Is it just me, or did anyone else notice in the beginning of the film, when the Nazi's marched into the town. The music was exactly like part of the theme of Hogans Heroes.

If you noticed that, then you must surely have noticed WHO sent a note to the Colonel which he read when he was talking to the Evil Traitor.

Sergeant Schultz.

reply

Yep, John Banner is listed in the IMDB credits.

reply

Didn't know that. The movie character's name IS "Sergeant Schultz", it would be funny if it was played by Banner.

I missed the very beginning of the film so I did not have a chance to hear the music. But I did get a good laugh when I saw that note signed by "Sergeant Scbultz." Then I came on here to see if that little girl who refused to give her name to the German soldier was Natalie Wood (it was!) and then I laughed again when I saw John Banner listed in the cast as well. :-)

OK, just now when they showed the wording on the Nazi decree about no more dynamite or the 10 hostages would be executed I did hear the music you must be talking about. LOL The rhythm of the drums was exactly like the background theme of "Hogan's Heroes." (Not the main melody part but the underlying percussion, if you know what I mean.)
