116 minute Criterion version. This movie doesn't quite hold up to The Wicked Lady, but this movie had me enraptured the entire time and I didn't even know I was watching a 2 hour film.

And Margaret Lockwood was so freaking HOT in this movie. I always find her cute or pretty or beautiful, but in this film, she was downright ravishing.

Discovering these Gainsborough films is, so far, amazing.

Yip I have to agree. Margaret was so hot and incredibly beautiful in this. She was even hotter and more beautiful in The Wicked Lady. She's certainly one of the most beautiful women ever to be in films,
