Bad edit

I noticed on my restored bluray version of the film a pretty bad edit. It's at 1 hour 50 minutes (and about 40 seconds) when Theo is on the phone and says "I was a silly fool". The film jumps noticeably. I checked it a few times and you can even see the people in the background move positions. Was it due to damage or was the original version the same?

I've noticed in other films from this period that perhaps editing standards were not the same as today so I don't know.

No, they didn't allow for video cassette, DVDs or Blurays in 1943, so they sometimes weren't as careful and there are a few minor goofs in many films from that era

Check the list of goofs in this film at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036112/goofs. You can add the goof that you've spotted if you like
