Mamacita is to blame for the first death

How in the world could you send your daughter out into the night, knowing that a leopard is loose in town? How could you lock the door? How could you mock her as she cries for help? What is wrong with this Mother?

This is how I feel today.

This is how I feel everyday!

For some reason Teresita is unwanted and unloved. You notice that her brother is still playing childish games at her inquest - after she's dead.

I agree. That scene made me really, really mad. It was frustrating the she ignored the help request of her daughter, and then she was supposed to feel sorry once she realized the little girl died in such a horrible way.

Watching it now and thought the same thing. A horrible way for a mother to act. The girl died for no reason.

I agree! After the scene I commented to my husband that while I felt sorry for the girl this couldn't have happened to a better mother. To bad the mother didn't go for the cornmeal.

I wanted to reach through the tv and punch that mother in the face. To bad the house didn't catch fire and the door latch would not open for her.

she was a nice and pretty girl with a grouchy mean old mom and bratty little brother. they bullied her and she gets killed in such a brutal way.
what a waste!

Movie girl: That scene got to me too! It was heart-stopping and very frightening. What a terrible mother who can forever reproach herself for not answering the door in time. Whether stressed out and over-worked in the house or not, she should have recognized her daughter's dire need to be let back into the house.

She ain't winning any mother of the year awards anytime in the near future.
