Everybody gets to vote their evaluation of every film. It seems both unnecessary and vain to post your vote on the Message Board, as well.

I gave it an 8, which is relatively high. For me an 8 is a film I not only enjoyed, but would see again and expect to enjoy a repeat viewing. But not good enough to be great or excellent.

Fonda was very good here, and as always Maureen O'Hara lights up the screen whenever she is on. Of course part of the problem was that she was not on the screen all that much. The story was good enough, too. I enjoyed the notion that the soldiers used despair as a motivation to attack, against big odds. You have to wonder what you would do in such a situation.
