Always and Guy Named Joe

I had seen Always in the theater when it first came out. Now I knew it was inspired by this movie "A Guy Named Joe' but I didn't realize how inspired. Got a chance to see this over 10 years later on some classic movie channel, and well its inspired all right, from the character names down to some of the duologue. But that is what makes Always so much fun, take two movies and situations, and put them about 50 years different and you have TWO excellent movies. I love both and I have nothing bad to say about either movie or directors. I highly recommend both movies!

Agreed. I usually rail against re-makes, but this is an exception to the rule. Both "Joe" and "Always" are truly enjoyable.

I agree too. I don't understand why either of these movies are more popular. It has a little bit of everything and the actors are great. Plus it is a wartime movie that is not too preachy just happens to be in the war. I liked that Always was about forest fire fighters. Their courage doesn't get enough credit.
