The premiere in October 1943

"Guadalcanal Diary" was Hollywood's first premiere since the WW2 dimout regulations were lifted. It took place at Grauman's Chinese. Among the Celebrities attending were Lana Turner,Franchot Tone,Roddy McDowell, Lloyd Nolan, William Bendix, Anne Baxter, William Eythe and Carole Landis.
