Sid Melton scene in wrong place?

Near the end of the movie, the character played by Sid Melton is sitting in a nightclub, eavesdropping on Arline Judge and Roger Clark discussing their plans.

The next scene shows Sid -- in different clothes, including a hat -- telling his boss what he had overheard. Over the course of that scene, the camera alternates between characters several times -- and for a couple of seconds, the shot of Sid shows him back in the nightclub, hatless!

Lots of movies have continuity errors, but this is the most egregious I've ever seen.

I just saw this movie and noticed that too! It's like they wanted to put a close up of Melton in that scene but while editing it they realized they'd forgotten to shoot one so they added the only close up they had! Crazy! The only equivilent of this that I've ever seen is in an episode of the old "Abbott & Costello Show". They are on the street but a close up of Bud telling Lou to hurry up is obviously from an in door scene. At least he didn't take off his hat!!

Remember, they shot this entire movie in only 5 days.
