Who played 'Corky'?

This is very trivial, but I know some of you people out there are absolute experts in these kinds of things."Corky" is one of Henry's friends who come to wake up Mickey Rooney. He wears a patchwork vest and is short.Later in the Bidin' My Time number he does a solo dance on a convenient wooden platform. When Ginger (Judy) leaves she says "Let's go,Corky" and he gets into the car with her.Later in the Embraceable You number Ginger runs her fingers through his hair as she sings "You and you alone bring out the gypsy in me".Yet there is no "Corky" character listed here as a student.I know this is practically impossible and certainly unimportant but I was just curious and thought it might also be a challenge to those true movie sleuths out there.

Well it looks like I accidentally found the answer to my own question. When I really like a movie as much as I liked Girl Crazy I hop around the Internet looking up odd facts, photos and footage. At a site called Thejudyroom.com I found a very detailed page on Girl Crazy which listed Joe "Corky" Geil as playing a student in Girl Crazy.I then looked again here and found Joe Geil listed as a student and linking to his page here found he was a dancer and was known as Corky in a number of late 30's-early 40's shorts including Our Gang.Though not absolute proof,I think it is safe to say that he played the student/cowboy who Judy calls Corky, though the character's name was never listed as such on any credits or cast lists. He had appeared in so many shorts as Corky that some of the theater audience may have identified him as such.He stood out in the film with his brief solo dance in the Biding My Time number.
