show some appreciation

From all of the reviews I've read on this film, I found that no one really had anything positive to say about the film. They criticized it terribly and shredded through everything, all they could talk about was how out-dated it was. True, it was made 65 years ago and filmed according to the time period. That should not be the complete blast against this film! Why can't people just appreciate the film for as a form of entertainment, as all films are, instead of bashing it into the ground. I have a feeling that the majority of the viewers who wrote critiques on this film are very young, and that, right there is proof that they do not and never will appreciate older films. I, who am 45 years old am proud that I grew up in a time when we appreciated all films, current and old. With that said, why do I still appreciate alot of the current movies made today with all of the lingo, slang, and words that 20 years from now people will think is weird? I guess you younger generation will be laughed at in the future because no one will understand many movies made in the 2000's.

I loved the movie. I love anything with the East Side Kids in it, I especially love their movies that have haunted houses and stuff, and to add a Nazi element to it...you could not do that in a fun movie today. Come to think of it, you really couldn't do anything they did back then today, back then they knew how to make great movies and this was one of them. You gotta love at the end, Glimpy fought with a Nazi and got German measles, his whole face covered in little swastikas. You couldn't do that today either.
