The East End Kids rescue America from Nazi Infiltration

The East Side Kids, a bunch of juvenile toughs led by diminutive Muggs (Leo Gorcey) accidentally expose a branch of the Nazi Ministry of Propaganda in East 53rd Place, New York City (in the form of a printing press producing Nazi propaganda pamphlets). Very early Ava Gardner appearance ... in a (surprise!) purely decorative role. A point of interest in the film (& the whole ESK series) is the (ground-breaking) inclusion of Black American Sammy Morrison as a member of the otherwise uniformly white working class adolescents' gang. Cute touch at the end when one of the gang boys (played by Huntz Hall) comes down with German measles consisting of red spots shaped, appropriately enough, like swastikas!
