A little 'stagey' but good - what about the original play?

Because this is based on a play, it's not an "action film." It's more a character study, with good plot twists.

What I find interesting is that the play it's based on was written long before WW2. Does anyone know the play or the earlier film adaptations? Obviously it couldn't have been about Rommel.

It wasn't about Rommel, but some Hungarian ruffians in WWI. And yes, becuz its a play it is VERY stagey; ha!

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.
