Jennings is all but forgotten

It is a real shame that a talent such as Humphrey Jennings has been forgotten into near obscurity. The man is clearly a genius and his Post Office films remain some of the best docu-dramas, and films ever made. More should be done to recognise his films in todays society.

well.. here's a reply.. and far quicker than the expected decade! :0D

I've never watched any of Jennings' films - but became aware of this one as it is on the BFI top 100 list.
Unfortunately I'm finding it hard to find copies of any of his films - some of them appear to be free to watch on the Screenonline website - but only for schools.
Any idea how I can watch this?
thanks

Phil

Phil, where are you based?

I'm in the UK, and am currently watching "Fires Were Started" courtesy of LoveFilm: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00ERUYE74.

There's a bunch of his films on this disc.
