Young French resistance boy......

Anybody know who played the young boy in the French resistance who shot the German soldier off of the motorcycle when first meeting-up with Victor and Paul?

He was great. I loved the scene between him and Gene Kelly in the bedroom. "The next time I'm afraid, I'll think of those scars and how brave you were."

I only saw this movie last night, for the first time. I confess I don't remember his name. Was he Billy?

TCM's site said it was Billy Roy [as Louis]...

Billy Roy had a short career as child actor. He played Walter Brennan's son in HANGMEN ALSO DIE! He real talent lay in music and he eventually became a pianist, conductor as well as writing musicals and cabaret shows. His musical talent was on display in IT HAPPENED IN BROOKLYN, the 1947 Sinatra film. He died in 2003 at age 75.
