When was it filmed?
Would there be any way to find out when the movie was shot? Had to be after Pearl Harbor, but couldn't have been as late as the year of release (by '43, Eddie Albert was in the actual war). Just curious.
shareAlbert was inducted in in Sept of '42 but was reassigned in 1943, joined the reserves and then went active.
Bombardier was released in May of '43. Production ran from October - December '42.
It's obvious that as he enlisted in Sept but worked briefly on the film until his character's death, he possibly may not have been serving actively and was possibly deferred because the film was a boon to the war effort.
