Lewis Wilson was a young Batman!

I am suprised nobody ever really comments on the fact that Lewis Wilson was a really young Batman. I mean he was only 23, and probably still 22 when they were filming. Most of the time Batman is usually cast by an actor ranging from 30 to 40 years of age. However, now that I think about it.....the golden age Batman may have been a portrayed at being a younger man in his early to mid 20s'. Younger people of that era had so much more class and maturity than the young people of this generation do.

Yeah I know. I'm a huge Batman fan, but also a James Bond fan. I love the connection between the two worlds. lol! However, it's appears that Michael G. Wilson was somewhat raised by Albert "Cubby" Brocolli. Lewis Wilson's career goes pretty dim after the 1950s', and nobody really ever saw him again. I heard Michael G. say in an interview that Lewis didn't like talking about his time in the cape and cowl before he died. Like it was somekinda bad mark on his life. A real shame actually consider how Batman is one of the biggest franchises in Hollywood. However, I kinda feel sorry for this guy because he never really made it big, but yet his son has huge success mostly from his stepfather's guidence. Kind of a sad story.

Wilson did a fine job with the dual role.

2009 : 70 Years of The Batman

2009 : 40 Years of O.H.M.S.S

Wow! I didn't realize that Lewis was so young when playing Batman. He looked older, at least to me. I always thought he was in his early 30's, maybe mid-30's. I guess that reflects well on his presence and demeanor.

But I always wondered why Lewis seemed negative toward Batman. It would've been cool to have him interviewed back in 89 with the giant Batman release.

Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!
