John Garfield's Character

I Just saw the movie, and Garfield is playing the tale-gunner, Winocki. In Pulp Fiction, Christopher Walken's character mentions Winocki as a tale-gunner when giving "the watch" to Butch as a child. Just an observation.

And you're correct; "tail" gunner. What happened to spell check.

Using Winocki's name was a deliberate reference to the older film by Tarantino, who is a big Howard Hawks fan.
