These two idiots were a trip and a half! I wanted to shoot that stupid hat right off of her head. I sat through the whole thing but I felt like I had ants in my pants because i could not sit still.

shareHmm...I think I agree with the OP. This movie bordered on awful and I really wanted to like it, but there was something a little off -- perhaps the zero chemistry (IMO) between Joan and Fred, the writing, or that the story seemed so contrived. For me, the whole tone and fabric of this movie was summed up in the closing line "How about some spaghetti?" This film just didn't work for me.

SPOT ON! What an idiotic plot and not a single moment of historical context!
