Good Candidate for a Remake

The fun of this film would certainly serve as the background for a 21st Century remake. Granted, the casting would have to be more diverse... but the bumblings of this fun loving family would be a great vehicle for Adam Sandler or some other comedian.

I agree if the casting was done right with the right director. Sadly today's political correctness and social demands would make the tale so different it might also lose the very charm that makes the original so delightful.
