A patriotic gem of a movie

This is 1942 movie-making at its best. Certainly not the greatest of movies but in early WWII America this must have been quite a film to see. The end was fantastic and very emotional. It made want to join right up.

For battleship buffs, it is a real thrill to see the night-time target practice with the USS North Carolina/Washington.

I really enjoyed it, too! The nighttime target-practice scenes were very interesting. And just some little parts, like all the guys at the long, outside water taps/trenches. I'd love to hear from some guys who were there.
