Opening title music?

During the opening titles the music starts off quite unfamiliar to me but as soon as the name of the movie "To Be or Not To Be" comes up, the music launches into a familiar classical tune. However, I just can't work out what it is! Does anyone know? Thanks.

Chopin's Polonaise in A Major, Opus 40, #3 ("Military" Polonaise).

I'm not crying, you fool, I'm laughing!

The real reason they played the "Polonaise" would have been known to the original audience . . . Polish national radio played that continuously during the seige of Warsaw until the city fell to the Nazis! It was a patriotic gesture of defiance by the Poles!

"Forget it, Jake - - it's Chinatown!"
