Continuity problem?

I'm not good at explaining timeline continuities but here goes:

Yes Stuart took a picture that happened to have her in w/ other people, he was trying to take various pics and wasn't paying attention to detail to whom each person was. Like when someone is at a party taken random shots of guest ~ they are just doing such. Of course he perhaps glanced over the pic of her once he got home figuring it wasn't a good shoot or missed it due to dealing w/ Leo being in his apartment.

In the original timeline, Leo would have perhaps married someone else causing an alternate reality where indeed Kate would not have been there to see it. But due to changes by Stuart she was ~ which is what caused Stuart picture to reflect her in his timeline of events.

If u ever watched BTTF series then this perhaps would make a bit of sense.

This bothered me too, came here looking for an explanation.

Kate didn't show up until around midnight - the picture was taken at least a few dances earlier in the evening; she wouldn't have been there.

I suspect there was an original story line where it made sense, but they tweaked a few things here and there as they filmed, and just forgot about this continuity gap.

To answer your question I think that Kate followed Stuart to see what his doing in 1876 and she spots Leopold(only he didn't see her though)and since Stuart took photos of the past as he was taking a few pictures here and there he never knew Kate was in the photo.


Other words Stuart says that its like a 3D pretzel Leopold was suppose to go to 21st century,meet with Kate,then go back to his own time frame and Kate is suppose to follow him as she was meant to be with him.
