An infectious lack of cynicism

My god...how refreshing is it to see the attitude towards the Supreme Court in this movie? The way that the music swells when Lightcap finds out he is going to be on the supreme court, and then at virtually every subsequent mention of it is great. This movie makes you believe it really was a simpler time, doesn't it?

What's the Spanish for drunken bum?

I thought it more a cynical lack of infectiousness.

I agree. Now, unfortunately, constant sarcasm, cynicism and endless streams of utterly nitwit, gutter-level sex jokes are considered the pinnacle of sophistication by the many yobs of the land. Actually, now that I think about it, I've just described an eminently watchable sitcom.

You may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.

Yes, I found this movie rousing and inspiring, I loved the theme, and our country, killed off the whole idea of populism and democracy shortly thereafter and have been manipulating us and allowing more people who do not understand the idea of America into the country every year since so there is no danger we will ever feel that way again. Now the movie are pathetic compared to that better simpler time ... and just simpler better ideas and real feelings country and the law.
