Coleman resemblance to Russell Crowe

Did any of you find that Ronald Coleman with his beard looked very much like Russell Crowe?

reply

Totally.

After he is slugged and sitting there with his hair messed up, he looked exactly like Crowe.

I have a theory, have had this for years.

All current actors (successful ones) look like past actors or current super models.

Gweneth Paltrow resembles Heidi Klum, etc.

Watch Midnight Mary, with Loretta Young, and tell me Franchot Tone doesn't look like Johnny Depp.

reply

Yep, I agree he totally looks like Russell Crowe.

Here are a a few more old stars that remind me of current ones.

Paul Muni = Benicio Del Toro

Greer Garson = Debra Messing

Joan Fontaine = Scarlett Johansson

John Dall = Ben Affleck

That is somewhat true. There are tons of current actors who resemble past actors, almost uncanny, I'll say. You don't want to get me started on a list because IMDb server might explode!

Just wanna say, I just noticed that it is kinda true that Messing looks a lil' bit like Garson. Thanks for pointing that out. But Messing! She's no Garson. Acting wise, that is!

One more thing. Scarlett does not look like Joan Fontaine at all. Joan Fontaine's carbon copy is EVAN RACHEL WOOD! I mean, COME ON!!!!!!!

OMG, I don't see it, where???

Comparing the looks of Ronald Colman to Russell Crowe?? WHAT??

Oh the humanity!

'Scuse me? Resemblance???

Oh, I get it; you had the sound off so the 'acting' part doesn't disturb the illusion!

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ... send it back; it's still a trifle too rare

Crowe looks more like a more robust version of Richard Burton. I really don't see a resemblance between Crowe and Colman.

reply

they both have two eyes...

If anything ... Russell Crowe looks like Colman.
Colman is such a great actor and presence, I would much rather
watch movies of Colman picking his nose than any of the BS that
Crowe comes out with. I am so sick of Hollywood of today.

One of my major pet peeves when it comes to these boards. The person who came first should come last in the comparison. Russell Crowe looks like RC, etc. It's not the other way around. Especially this comparison. My goodness. Is anything ever taught in schools these days?

BTW - if anything Messing looks like Lucille Ball - a little but should never - EVER - be compared to the beautiful Greer Garson. The horror!

I'm watching the movie now, and when Coleman opens his eyes wide when he realizes the dogs are after him, I see the resemblance very strongly.

reply

With the mustache alone, in that courtroom scene reminded me of Errol Flynn.
