What the heck was that?
I fell off the couch laughing, I have never seen such a skit before.
I can't tell in the credits who those guys were, I would guess from vaudeville
Man I wish I was around to see those acts, I know there are 1000's more out there we missed.
This movie was fantastic.
I won't spoil this for you if you haven't seen it, but Betty (Polly) has to get over a 12 foot wall, and these two "gentlemen" help her.
I dare say you've never seen any thing like it.

That was the oddest but funniest act I've ever seen!! Those two guys were hilarious!!

The big one, I believe, was Walter Darewahl, playing Himself - Specialty act (as Walter Dare Wahl and Company), but I really don't know who his sidekick was. They were a riot!!

You have to give Betty Hutton a lot of credit for that scene too! She really went for it!

Betty Hutton wasn't afraid to do anything.
She was amazing in all areas. Singing, dancing, skits like this, beautiful energy.

just caught the routine in a much shorter version in "Top Banana", Walter Darewahl is listed and I think the other guy is Johnny Trama.
Phil Silvers is the third person, where Betty would have been.
The scene involves a ladder BUT, they don't really get into it like they did in this movie. It looks like they cut what could of happened.
I'm guessing because Phil could not do as much as Betty did.
(Heck I challenge Anyone to do what she did (besides these two guys)
and they also probally cut it for time.

I think it's a shame that the pair were billed as "Walter Darewahl and Company." I assume Darewahl was the one who spoke and "company" was the guy who didn't. But they were equally important to the success of the scene.

What really amazes me, though, is how well Hutton fit into the specialty act.
