Oddly enough the musical left me cold. I found it unpleasant and didn't like the songs and everything seemed blown out of proportion. The movie is 'just the right size' and Ginger Rogers is so much fun because SHE seems to be having so much fun.

I saw the recent Chicago film when it came out several years ago, and I have no desire to see it again. Mainly due to the spontanious musical numbers. Not a big fan of those. (I like Grease, and that is about it.)
While I did seek out Roxie Hart, because Ginger was in it... I was also looking forward to seeing a straight version of the story. I really enjoyed this film.
