Shalmar comes off as a real snake in this movie

In spite of this being a comedy and as much as I enjoy this movie and especially Dorothy Lamour, her character comes across as a real snake in it. Usually in the "Road" pictures, her characters are very likeable; but not in this one. Examples:

1) She finds out her first husband "Kasim" is prophesied to die in a week, to save his life, she buys Orville and wants to marry him believing he'll be dead in a week.

2) When Kasim finds out about the marriage she happily explains her motives.

3) She expresses some sorrow to Orville, but still doesn't change her mind.

4) When Orville finds out, she still insists he marry her.

5) When she finds out the prophet was wrong she now wants to marry Jeff and ditch Kasim - the man she didn't want to die in the first place.

Of course Jeff wasn't much better when he sold Orville, no matter what his reasons were and Orville trying to get Jeff to switch places was an uncool move as well. But overall, Shalmar's behavior was the worst.

Jesus is the Son of God and my Lord and savior. Pretty cool.
